GardenHires

Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026

GardenHires connects homeowners and local gardeners for yard and garden work. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you when you use GardenHires or contact us.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, address, city, state, ZIP code, password credentials, and profile details you provide.
  • Marketplace information: job descriptions, locations, applications, proposals, messages, reviews, and transaction or payment status.
  • Lead and outreach information: only where permitted, contact details, source context, consent evidence, opt-out records, and responses used to manage a GardenHires inquiry.
  • Technical information: device, browser, log, security, and analytics information needed to operate and protect the service.

How we use information

  • Operate accounts, profiles, job listings, applications, messaging, reviews, and marketplace matching.
  • Authenticate users, prevent abuse, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve the product.
  • Respond to support, partnership, and other inquiries.
  • Send service messages and, only when we have the required consent or other lawful basis, relevant GardenHires outreach. Every outreach message includes an opt-out path, and opt-outs are placed on a suppression list.

How we share information

We share information with other users when you choose to publish a profile, job, application, message, or review. We may also use service providers for hosting, database, analytics, security, email delivery, and payment-related processing. Providers receive only the information needed for their service. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer. GardenHires does not sell personal information.

Discovery and outreach safeguards

Public-source discovery is used to identify public context about potential yard-work demand; it is not a license to harvest private homeowner contact information. We do not request HOA resident rosters. Automated homeowner email outreach is limited to records with explicit consent and evidence of that consent. Public context can instead produce a draft for human review or a public reply where appropriate.

Your choices

You may update account information through the app, contact us about access or deletion, or unsubscribe from outreach using the link in the message. You can also email gardenhiressupp@gmail.com. We may retain limited records needed to honor opt-outs, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

Security, retention, and children

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security. We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it when practical. GardenHires is not directed to children under 13.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above will change when we publish an updated version. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to gardenhiressupp@gmail.com.
